Hi there!

My heart's mission has always been to help children discover their inner power through learning essential soft skills, like self-awareness, self-love, and resilience.
 

From working with ed-tech giants like ABCmouse and Adventure Academy, to creating educational animations, to writing for books and magazines, my journey has been all about helping young minds thrive.

 

When I moved to the U.S. ten years ago, I brought that passion with me and founded The Little Soul, an NGO dedicated to empowering Iranian kids.

 

One of our most impactful projects was an app in Iran that supported young victims of abuse, helping them to open up and seek help—it’s been featured in over a dozen media outlets for its positive impact.

 

Today, my journey continues as I create two picture books with Penguin Random House, each one bringing stories that spark self-discovery and resilience in kids.

Michka was created by women’s rights activist Sahar Shams, who experienced sexual abuse as a child and wanted to help children understand and discuss the subject. Parents often avoid talking about topics that are taboo in Iranian society...
